Dynamic economy

Post by Outcast on Fri Nov 04, 2011 2:39 am

Well, I think that the business owners should be able to set their own prices for the products, like in bars the owner could set a price for a beer other than the server default, or the store owners could set ie. for a camera a price of $39 instead of $20 or whatever they want.

But there should be a minimum price that they could set, based on the revenue they get each day.

Let's say a bar earns $1000 dollars per day, minimum price for any of the products could be $10 bucks, or if he earns let's say $100, the minimum price would be $1. So it's daily revenue divided by $100. Also, the maximum price that they could set would be daily revenue divided by 5.

It would add more variety and would allow businesses outside of PC to profit, cause the players would buy where it's cheaper. Also, if any of the prices after 12pm are above or below the maximum or minimum price, they would be automatically be set to the maximum or minimum price.

Tell me what you guys think.

It's a nice idea, but we need to actually script what we sell.

Like, making multiple foods instead of just "Small meals" and so on.

But yes, I like this idea.

Only one person finds this idea useful? I guess EMS having tasers is more important than a stable economy on this server.

Well there is artificial stimulus injected into the economy every hour... Having a dynamic system of pricing doesn't really change anything except for setting prices incredibally high.
