Paydays.

Post by Andre Campbell on Fri Dec 09, 2011 2:02 am

I think we should make paydays more, since houses and stuff are so much more now, and most players barely ever have even 8k sometimes in there bank or on hand

Make it like 20 more dollars per level you level up

Lvl 1 -260 normal i think
lvl 2- 280
lvl 3- 300
lvl 4 - 320
lvl 5- 340
lvl 6 - 360
lvl 7 - 380
lvl 6 - 400
lvl 7 - 420
lvl 8 - 440
lvl 9 - 460
lvl 10- 480
lvl 11- 500
lvl 12 - 520
lvl 13 - 540
lvl 14- 560
lvl 15 - 580
lvl 16- 600
lvl 17- 620
And continues on 620.

OR THIS WAY

the more active you are the more you get on payday,
online for more than 4 hours you get more payday each time?

How would factions work then? Also, it doesn't give newer players the chance to buy property and what not because higher levels are filthy rich.

No, the house prices were raised for a reason. Increasing paydays would make it all like it was before. Just RP and enjoy on the server. I have around 20k or so and all I was doing was patrolling around PC.

True to what they mentioned on top. Rising the payday's amounts, just makes the houses new prices be a waste of time to even do.

You want money ? WORK FOR IT.
Otherwise, be happy about current one and don't try to get more money just by standing around.

I personally think paycheques should be scrapped you should earn a wage from the job you work in and only when your on dutie make it harder to get money cars and property give you a reason to try and make a succsesfull business.

Blueberry will be scripted soon. Meaning there will be more businesses. That means more of us can actually gain money off it. We just need out players to spread out RC.

I'm get regular Human payday, but because of my business i'm getting rich.

Businesses are how poeple gain money IRL.

Yeah no. New players go in server, they dont have a job, how do you expect them to earn money from a house? Or maybe they're RPing a Firm? Paycheck's are fine. I suggest we add 40$ Tax for food. . . Since noone RP's food, this will make it look like they've bought it and they'll loose 40$ off they're paycheck,

I'm totally agree with this guy, unless someone create another hotel at Montgomery near the fuel station and map the small house interior near the Car Dealer.

Paycheck is totally FINE, people who WANT to rp a working person, rp a working person. People who dont want to rp a working person, dont do that, but everyone wants money and this is a -game- so lets just MOVE along from the paychecks and improve the part of the server that actually causes problems (aint bringing anything up here)

If you want to get more money apply for a job(faction) or fish all the time.
IRL you need to work to survive, you don't get 300$ from the government every hour..

This here is some good ol' wisdom. I was debating whether or not to post my mind in this topic, so here it is:

The paydays are a necessary part of our simulated/virtual economy. The best part is that people can roleplay having a job or profession without actually having to spend eight hours of their character's time each day going to an office and writing up TPS reports. Only problem is that very few people actually RP having a job or that their character does anything except fuck about in Palomino Creek with the wolves and mafia bosses all day.

He gets an allowance of 250(h) every week? His parents must be loaded. And irresponsible.

h = hours played per week

Still, at least you make some effort to RP where your ass-portal cash comes from. We should gaf because people roleplay all the benefits of being employed in a decent position- considering we don't have to use our script money for things like food, electric/gas bills, internet bills, any sort of subscriptions we might have, car payments (because we're all rich enough to purchase them in cash), house payments (since we're still rich enough to purchase them in cash), furniture, stupid knick-knacks to decorate the house with, and about a million more things- our characters have a bunch of pure cash for no reason but being ass-stupid with. If we were to compound what our characters make, on average, between us being online for a few paychecks a day that represent the average played time across the server, into a two-week pay period, they'd all be high-end dentists, corporate attorneys, and chief financial officers of successful start-up companies.

It's one thing when someone makes an effort to RP their character being a normal person, but as it stands Palomino Creek (and most of Red County) seems to be full of a bunch of young, super-sexy, super-strong, unemployed and lovin' it, rich, carefree manchildren. Yet most people on this server have no idea where their character's money comes from. And before people start saying "WELL MY CHARACTER GETS HIS FROM HIS OFF-SHORE MONEY LAUNDERING BANK ACCOUNT HUR"- most of the server falls into this situation.

I have tried to help the economy of the server with my construction company actually getting people to rp working and then earning a decent wage and the wages i pay come from a percentage of the money i make on the job i think the server has reached a stage where enogh money is in the system for the pay cheque to be scrapped and people to have to actually earn the moeny for instance if you spend 2 hours on duty as SD you should earn like say $100 but if you don't bother going on duty or are just rping doing nothing then like like irl they earn nothing and if you want to start a business great you can earn moeny from selling players a service i have 160k sitting in the bank i want to invest into the community but no one evcer gives me anything to spend it on i can only spend so much at the wolf inn i have all the vehicles and property i could need so i want players so come up with new and fun roleplays and business.
